Andy Smith (Portishead DJ)

Best known as the DJ for Mercury Prize winning band Portishead and for his ground-breaking series of multi-genre mix albums ‘The Document’, Andy is a stalwart of the DJ and production scene, clocking up a phenomenal amount of hours in clubs and bars around the world, and at his own funk, soul and hip-hop parties in Camden, Peckham and Shoreditch.
His DJ set always contains a mixed bag of treasures and he’s a master of the cross-genre mash-up. We can’t wait to welcome his vast knowledge and incredible dancefloor-rocking skills to the Night Owl to do justice to 25 years of Heducation parties!

Aspects were key players in the development of UK hip hop in the 90's & 00's, touring with acts including Arrested Development, De La Soul and The Bees, as well as recording and collaborating with hip hop luminaries such as DJ Yoda, DJ Format, & Quantic. They have released 3 studio albums and this year they celebrate the 25th anniversary of their first LP, Correct English!
